Here are some of my ideas/things I liked for Christmas Ornaments:
Now, we’re going to ignore the fact that this is human size/a costume and imagine it as a tree topper. Possibly more colourful. I think it’d be fun (after I find some variety of tree, of course.
) Maybe with flowers, as it’ll be midsummer here?
…Do I really need to explain the appeal of this one?
Sadly, not Mal himself. If I had those kinds of skills, I’d have found better things to do than blog about ornaments. But. His coat, a browncoats homage? I think I can do it.
This is a Star Trek Comm badge, for those out of the loop. It’s a personal communication device that lets the crews of Starfleet ships talk to each other/their ships both on the ship and during away missions while the ship is in range. I was thinking some version of this as well as tribbles (if I can work out how to make them/make a knitting loom before I need them) to honour my neverending love of Trek (BEFORE THE LATEST MOVIE, THANK YOU.).
This is a True Blood poster for season 2, I found it when I was googling for ideas of how I could make something to do with the show for my decorations. I’m thinking a silhouette sort of ornament, and it’d display my general love of vampires more that just TB. Plus. It’s pretty.
The Lion King (movie) came out when I was young and ever since I’ve adored it like it ain’t even funny. I’ve seen the musical, too. And oh my Gods is it amazing?!!! I think I could do this logo (the lion bit) with relative ease and aaah. So. Much. Love.
There are other ideas brewing in my head – cats, flowers, fey… but here’s a few I have pictures for.
